Goal Diggers at the ready! By Victoria Brown
Goal Diggers at the ready! By Victoria Brown
What an amazing second live training we had on Thursday!
Women are being brave & showing up.
I’m so pleased to be a part of this with Dianne. I’m loving every minute and love watching these women grow within just 2 sessions, so I can’t wait to see their achievements by week 8.
It’s going to be epic!
In the second session, the lovely Laura Hepburn delivered a presentation on the importance of goals & being a GOAL-DIGGER! ‘What a wonderful opportunity to help other women who are brave enough to be in business to be less kissass, more kickass and goal dig!’
We talked MIT’s (Most Important Tasks) and encouraged these fabulous women to set 3 main goals for the week, that will help them personally & in their business. AND … it’s so awesome to see some of these women already smashing these goals.
In the third session, we are dealing with our inner critic, but we touched on this negative nay-sayer, but we are knocking it down by focusing on our inner coach. We encouraged the women to see the cheerleading inner coach supporting them through smashing their goals this week. Ticking them off, highlighting them or putting them in a goal jar! Helping them recognise how far they have come & help to celebrate these achievements.
I also spread some positive vibes with a free downloadable print from my Positivity Pants Prints shop, helping these awesome women surround themselves with inspiring words. You can get the link at the bottom if you’d like to check out the range of prints.
This course is already having a huge impact on these women and I’m so proud to be a part of it.

Do we still need International Women’s Day in 2021? Dianne Casey Yes, we do! Every year at least 4 people will say what about men… International Men’s day is the 19 November each year so please don’t feel left out! International Women’s Day to me… Is an opportunity to listen, speak out, gain information and […]
I started my business 4 years ago after being made redundant while pregnant with my second child. I was helping my friend with her business and she suggested that I go for it and set up as a Virtual Assistant. I had thought about this previously and had written a business plan, but I’d parked […]
The AssistHer course is helping me be happier and more confident in striving to achieve what I want, without feeling selfish or guilty! I have worked hard and have achieved a lot of positive things in my life that you would associate with success and happiness and, for the most part, my life has indeed […]
Since joining Assist I have been invited to events including Hidden Women of Teesside, where I had the chance to network with local business women and build contacts. I felt very welcomed and part of something supportive of where I'm at today and what I'm trying to achieve. I now have an experienced mentor for the next year to help me focus and build my dreams. Lastly I was invited to the Assist Christmas meal which was amazing as being self-employed and a small grassroots organisation, it can get lonely so I was grateful for the opportunity to connect with other women feeling the same way and trying to achieve great things.

I found Assist through a love of books and a desire for personal development but what I discovered was so much more. Whatever you come to Assist for it will benefit all aspects of your life; personal, professional and community. It is positive action for women on Teesside to support and empower each other and most importantly, to thrive. Why would you not want to be a part of this?

Having struggled for a while to find a womens network in Teesside, i stumbled across of the Assist events by chance. How happy i am that i did. Ann and the team make the networking fun and relevant, informative and comfortable. I've made several really good business connections, but mostly i've met some great women who i know i could turn to for advice, or even just to meet for a coffee. We all face the same issues within business and personally and the Assist meet's allow collaboration, suggestion, support and smiles. Thank you Assist x

Assist is a great place to meet, connect and collaborate with businesswomen from across the Tees Valley. It's welcoming and informal atmosphere for networking, combined with the diverse range of business topics it addresses on behalf of its members is both interesting and informative. This winning combination means i learn something new each time i attend and its why i keep coming back.
