We’re celebrating Team Assist #VolunteerWeek2023
The growth of Assist has been phenomenal over the past few years. This wouldn’t have been made possible without the dedication, time and efforts of our amazing volunteers. Our team of 50 volunteers have been able to bring our visions to reality, each with their unique skills, experiences and knowledge.
From our steering groups, campaign and project leaders, to our front-facing team, speakers, creatives and hospitality, each member of Team Assist adds their own special ingredients to help us deliver everything that we do. Our strategic thinkers and operational crew are our back bone – without them, Assist Women’s Network would not be able to function.
Assist provides a platform to connect, collaborate, spotlight, encourage and empower. We do what we do because we are forever tired of waiting for the world to change on some aspects of society. We are continuously working to generate the changes needed in our corner of the globe and beyond. Together we are raising debate and creating societal change in the Tees Valley and beyond.
The committee, Ann, Emma, Helen and Laura would like to say a HUGE thank you to each and every one of our volunteers. You make Assist what it is, you are an integral part of the culture created – welcoming, friendly, supportive and empowering. You are Assist, Assist is you.
The list is long who we need to thank, many spotlighted across our website and many more behind the scenes that do their bit quietly and prefer to do this unseen. We thank these hidden volunteers too that are often sounding boards for us – you, your time and efforts are incredibly valued, you know who you are.
