Helena Bowman

Originally born in Durham City, Helena is now a proud ‘Teessider’, after moving to the area in 2007.
After graduating from Sheffield University with a Bsc in Psychology Helena started working for MFC Foundation, the Club’s official charity. After working her way up through the organisation, Helena became Head of Foundation in 2016, where she led the charity for 5 years.
Whilst at the charity, Helena studied for a PCGE and a Masters in Education and lead a team of 75 staff working to inspire the local community through the power of football.
Helena is now one year into her role as Head of Business Operations and Community at Middlesbrough Football Club. Helena is a single Mum to a 9-year-old daughter, enjoys playing netball and is also Chair of ‘Borderlands’, an Arts Council England funded project which encourages more people from our local community to get involved in creative arts. Helena is passionate about widening horizons of young people on Teesside, and promoting careers opportunities in leadership, to school children.
