I have been fortunate to enjoy a varied career across both the public and private sector, in employed, self-employed and voluntary positions.  

My current roles include; Operations Director at Waltons Business Advisers and Chartered Accountants, Trustee and Beaver Scout Leader at 1^st Newton Aycliffe Scout Group and Trustee and Treasurer of our local Scout Centre.  

I am passionate about helping people and businesses fulfil their potential, whether by helping them identify their purpose or putting a strategy together to achieve their goals. I love working with individuals, particularly in developing their management skills and seeing people grow over time is a great privilege. I am also known for embracing challenges and tackling them head-on, which if nothing else, keeps things interesting! 

I have recently become more aware of inequality and have felt a strong obligation to play my part in tackling social injustice.  

Networking has played a crucial role in my personal and professional development over the years and by joining the Darlington Assist Hosting Team, I hope to be able to give a little back.
